Ingredients
- 120 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 400 g flour
- 1 sachet of dessert yeast
- milk and salt
- 200 g walnuts
- 300 g figs
- 150 g pine nuts
- 150 g sultanas
- 100 g candied citron
- grated peel of one orange
- a glass of brandy
- 200 g halved walnuts
Preparation
- In a bowl, beat the butter, sugar and eggs together, then add the flour, yeast and salt and then, mixing with a wooden spoon, the milk. Add half of the chopped walnuts, chopped figs, whole pine nuts, citron, sultanas, orange peel and the brandy.
- Knead everything for approximately 15 minutes and then place into a greased and floured baking pan; lay the dough out with your hands until it is approximately 1cm thick. Decorate with the halved walnuts and put into a hot oven for approximately forty minutes.
- Remove from the oven when the surface has browned.
